Content

This is more or less an index of what will content my guide.

1st researchs (page layout)

And this is a test of a page. I am not satisfied at all by the page layout, but it just to approach the universe I am looking for.

Universities international student guides

Help guides for international students actually exist and they are very useful. In term of content, my book will not necessary be so different than them.

But this is the reasons why I want to create one other:

- The graphisms are not so good –> I want a nice object that people will keep as a reassuring thing or as a memory.

- They are often difficult to read or boring –> I want to use a language friendly and pleasant. I also want the images to really work with the text.

- They are specific to one school –> I want something as universal and complete as possible

- They are not necessary easy to find –> I want to find a way to share it and to make it accessible

Here are some links where you can find on universities guides for international students:

Delphine Mach

Delphine Mach (alias aki) is a french illustrator I truly admire.
Here is her website: http://www.delphinemach.com/
I think that what she does is very fresh and cute.
I bought the cook book she made with her sisters, the presentation of the recepies are really funny and pretty. (Here is the cooking blog: http://www.les3soeurs.com/)
I like the way she draws but also how she uses her page.

Studio Pomp

Moniek Paus is an illustrator from the Studio Pomp.
He made this book which is kind of a guide for design students.
I discoverd it on the internet while making researches.
This is the type of object I would like to make: clear, funny, pretty and useful.
Furthermore, the layout is really linked with the content.

They also made the book "relax mama" (from Elsbeth Teeling) wich is also an illustrated book with tips and tricks. So it is still the same type of content, even if the audience is very different this time.
